Writer: Rosenstrasse FoundationRosenstrasse Foundation

“Poland, the Jews, and the Holocaust,” which is available on line, via Amazon. The publisher is: Archway/Simon & Schuster. In it, Paldiel presents a balanced picture of Polish-Jewish relations during the 9 centuries that Jews lived in that country and produced a vibrant community life (religious and secular) that also affected Jews living elsewhere. He highlights the rise of antisemitism and the troubled Holocaust years, that impacted Polish-Jewish relations during the Holocaust, but also recorded the deeds of Polish rescuers, that were awarded the Righteous honor by Yad Vashem. This book will soon be followed with another one — totally dedicated to Polish rescuers of Jews, and composed in the form of narratives of some 100 diversified rescue stories, culled from Yad Vashem archives.
