“Rise of the Nazis: Dictators at War,” which is available online, via PBS is a new three-part documentary series investigating how Hitler and the Nazi party rose to power during the 1930s, offering a timely reminder of the dangers of authoritarian demagogues as they degrade truth, oppress their citizens, and wreak havoc on fellow nations. featuring historian Richard Evans, Russian democracy advocate Gary Kasparov, and others.
Anne Nelson, who is a member of The Rosenstrasse Foundation's Board of Directors is interviewed at length in the first two installments of this series, speaking about the valiant efforts of Harro Schulze-Boysen in the anti-Nazi resistance, as described in her book, Red Orchestra. Schulze-Boysen and Arvid Harnack were the two core members of the movement and sacrificed their lives in their efforts to stop Hitler.
