Dr. Nathan Stoltzfus responds to Wolf Gruner’s article, "The Factory Action and the Events at the Rosenstrasse in Berlin: Facts and Fictions about 27 February 1943 Sixty Years Later," in his own article "Historical Evidence and Plausible History: Interpreting the Berlin Gestapo's Attempted "Final Roundup" of Jews (also known as the "Factory Action")", arguing that the protest by non-Jews for their Jewish family members acted as the most reasonable impetus for the Gestapo's release of intermarried Jews incarcerated at Berlin's Rosenstrasse.
